Peabody - William "Bill" Leo Twomey Jr., age 86, of Peabody, died on Wednesday, June 15, 2022. He was the husband of Janet (Robertson) Twomey, with whom he shared 36 years of marriage.

Born in Lynn, he was the son of the late William Leo Twomey Sr. and Catherine (Hyde). William was born during the Depression and had a humble upbringing.

In addition to his wife, he leaves behind his three adored children, Moira Sandiford of Eagan, MN, William Twomey III of Newburyport, and Kathy Westgate and her husband Allen of Orlando, FL; his six cherished grandchildren Kim Berhens and her husband Kevin of Farmington, MN, Brian Sandiford of Lynn, Jackie Sandiford of Farmington, MN, Rachel Sandiford of Beverly, Katelyn Westgate of Lake Nona, FL, Daniel Westgate of Columbus, GA; and his dear great-grandson Logan Berhens. He was also the brother of Rita Truax of Lynn, and the late Claire Campus, Margaret Ryan, and Tim Twomey.

A funeral for William will be held on Thursday, June 23, from the Cuffe-McGinn Funeral Home, 157 Maple St., Lynn, at 8:30 a.m., followed by a funeral Mass at 10 a.m. in St. Adelaide's Church, 708 Lowell St., Peabody, at 10 a.m. Visiting hours will be held on Wednesday night from 4 to 8 p.m., at the funeral home.
