Essex County, MA - Walter J. Birmingham Jr., known to many as Wally, passed away peacefully on February 5, 2026, in Saugus, Massachusetts. He was born on March 21, 1943, in Peabody.
A lifelong sports fan, Wally was especially devoted to the Boston Red Sox. He was predeceased by his parents, Walter and Diane Birmingham, and his sisters, Marguerite "Joanie" Anderson and Diane "Cathy" Gregory. He is survived by his brother, Harry "Jimmy" Birmingham and his wife Linda of South Carolina; his sister, Elaine Charron of Danvers; his brother-in-law, Arthur Gregory of Kingston, NH; and his loving nieces and nephews.
He will be deeply missed and fondly remembered.
