Tucker J. Phippen Obituary

Beverly - Tucker James Phippen, Age 30, passed peacefully and left this world for a better place on Friday, February 28th in the loving arms of his parents and brother, passing away from an undiagnosed cardiac condition resulting in a stroke.

Tucker was someone who strived to make people laugh with whatever antics or silly jokes he could muster. He saw the bright side of situations and made us laugh even at inopportune times. Tucker was funny but ... he thought he was hilarious. Tucker cared about people in the purest way; loving them for who they were and without judgement. Friends of Tucker appreciated his unbridled loyalty. He was always there to lend a hand, especially in the most difficult of times.

Tucker graduated from Notre Dame Children's Class, Brookwood School, Proctor Academy Class of 2013, and was a proud graduate of Merrimack College Class of 2020.

Through his school years, Tucker enjoyed playing hockey, baseball and football, however his true passion has always been skiing. Following high school, Tucker moved to Colorado to study at UC Boulder. Or so his parents thought. In actuality, Tucker spent most of his time taking advantage of the incredible Rocky Mountain ski terrain. Along the way, Tucker made many lifelong friendships of which one had four legs, fur and was named Mookie.

Tucker was enthusiastic about his job landscaping with Jeffreys Creek Land Contractors. He made new friends and looked forward to working with them every day.

Tucker leaves behind his adoring parents, David and Michelle Phippen of Beverly and his brother and best friend Benjamin Phippen.

Tucker is survived by many beloved Uncles and Aunts; William (Sandra) Phippen, Peter (April Bowling) Phippen, Morey (Brian Adams) Phippen, Anne (Panaqiotis Manginis) Phippen, Henry (Julie) Phippen. Joanna (Maureen Foley) Phippen, Thomas (Masako) Keaveny, Patrick (Bonnie) Keaveny, Aunt Ann Smiley and many loving cousins.

Tucker is predeceased by his Aunt and Uncle, Paulette and Michael Galvin, and we know he is somewhere causing some kind of ruckus with his cousin Andrew Keaveny right now!!

The family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to the Cardiac ICU and Neuroscience ICU and all the health-care professionals at Mass General Hospital, Boston, for their unwavering care and commitment to Tucker during his stay.

Tucker's final act of kindness was to give the gift of life and provide hope to those in need as an organ donor. He is our hero.

He will continue to live within us through memories, laughs and a smile that lit up a room. We hope you smile whenever you think of him.

A celebration of Tucker's life will be held on Thursday, April 10th at 11am at Tupper Manor 295 Hale Street, Beverly, where friends and family are invited to remember a life that was truly a gift to us all.
