Thomas "Tom" Lotito Obituary

Danvers - Thomas Christopher Lotito, age 59 set off on a final adventure, his first otherworldly journey on May 3, 2026 in New Port Richey, Florida. Tom was the second child of Judith (Wass) Lotito and Thomas (Skip) Lotito and was born on December 30th 1966 in Beverly, Massachusetts. Raised in Danvers, with his older sister Julie and younger sisters Katie and Crissy, Tom and his Dad were very involved in Boy Scouts together and Tom was an Eagle Scout, the highest rank attainable. After graduating from St. Johns Prep in 1985 he made his living as a talented carpenter; skilled with his hands and energized by the physicality of his work. From an early age, Tom had a bright spark of independence and notable loyalty, legendarily in his first fist fight circling back to back with his friend Todd Main at the age of 3-- a metaphor for the whole of his life in all of his relationships: Tom was someone you wanted behind and beside you for the times you got into trouble and the times you got up to trouble.

Tom was surrounded by both love and adventure for the entirety of his life. Lit up by travel, adrenaline and the laughter and love of the people he adored, he broke the rules always gleefully and (usually) harmlessly for most of his life: famously skiing fast in jeans and debating and then testing the virtues or detriments of a speed wobble on a Yamaha RZ 350 on the Mass Pike. Tom loved a road trip on 2 wheels or 4, biting fish and a good laugh. He traveled all over the US, particularly enjoying trips in New Hampshire and Maine. Adventuring in his final years with his shotgun rider Charlene, Tom loved nothing more than watching a bald eagle fly, finding a geode in the woods to present to his six beloved grandchildren, or taking a ride just to see what happened that day. In fact, his final earthbound adventure, a road trip from Maine to Florida with Charlene and son Tyler was exactly how Tom always liked to do things: a little bit on the edge and with intention, surrounded by the deep love and welcomed comfort of his family and his friends.

Tom leaves behind his beloved wife Charlene (Oliver) Lotito, cherished children, Thomas Jr. Lotito and his wife Traci, Tyler Lotito and his six adoring grandchildren Thomas III, Theodore, Tate, Taelyn, Isabella and Priscilla, mother Judy Lotito, sisters Julie Lotito, Katherine Arrington and Christina Paradis, stepsons Joshua Main, Ronald LeBlanc and Ryan LeBlanc, sisters-in-law Dorothy Sicard and her daughter April Oliver, Faith Oliver and Yvonne Oliver.Tom joins his father, Thomas Lotito and sister-in-law Shirley Borrelli in the great beyond. His family will both feel his loss and delight in the remembrance of his loving presence, always.
