Rowley - Sabatina M. Holmes, 88, of Rowley, and formerly of Peabody, gained her wings Saturday, April 24, 2021, at home. She was the wife of the late Gilbert Holmes; and surviving sister Theresa McParlin of Florida. Sabatina was born in Boston, Mass., June 14, 1932, daughter of the late John DeAlmeida and Carmella (Montefusco) DeAlmeida. Devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great grandmother. Sabatina enjoyed traveling with her husband and family, loved holiday gatherings and loved cooking. Her family was her world. Mrs. Holmes is survived by five children, Irene Winter and husband Greg Winter, Carmella Holmes Moise, Donna Jones and husband Brian Jones, Gilbert Holmes Jr., (Chuck) wife Barbara Holmes, Lenora Dawson and husband Jeff Dawson; 12 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her brothers, Joseph, Jack, and Tony DeAlmeida.

Calling hours will be on Friday, April 30, 2021, from 4 to 8 p.m., at F. S. Roberts & Son Funeral Home, 14 Independent Street, Rowley. Mass of Christian Burial will be on Saturday, May 1, 2021, at 10 a.m., at Saint Mary Church, Main Street, Rowley. Burial will follow at Main Street Cemetery. Face coverings are required and social distance protocols will be followed.
