Peabody - Roland W. DuMont, Jr, 90, of Peabody, died Monday December 29, 2025, surrounded by his loving family at the Brudnick Center for Living in Peabody following a brief illness. He was the beloved husband of the late Carol A (Rizzo)DuMont.

Born in Boston, he was the son of the late Roland W DuMont, Sr, and Lucy (Russo) DuMont. He was raised and educated in Revere and graduated from Revere High School, class of 1953. He has lived in Peabody for the past five years.

Roland began his career as a bus driver and later retired as a truck driver after 13 years working for Federal Express.

Roland is survived by his two daughters and sons-in-law, Tracy and Roger Chafe of Rochester, NH and Michele and Greg Jerow of Peabody, his brother, Alan DuMont of Salem, his two sisters, Elaine Jebali and Renee O'Donnell, both of Saugus, his beloved six grandchildren, Jennifer and David Head, Heather Blake, Monique and Andrew Airasian, Keran and Jesse Guptill Kristen and Andrew Troupis, and Robert and Vivian Clopper, He is also survived by 8 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren.


A graveside service will be held on Saturday January 3, 2026, at 11:30 AM at Puritan Lawn Memorial Park, Lake St, Peabody to which relatives are kindly invited to attend.
