Roberta Robbie Stacey Obituary

Hillsborough - Roberta ("Robbie") Ann Brawner Stacey, age 90, of Hillsborough, North Carolina was born on February 24, 1936, to Milton and Gladys Brawner in Joliet, Illinois, and passed away on Monday, April 20, 2026, in Hillsborough, surrounded by her loving family.

Robbie met her future husband, Donald "Don" Stacey at the University of Colorado, Boulder, while they were both students. After getting married in 1958 and having four children in Grand Junction, Colorado, the family moved east, and arrived in Beverly, Mass., in 1971. The family made Beverly home for over 40 years. Robbie earned a master's degree from Harvard University and enjoyed a long career as a speech and language pathologist at Landmark School. She and Don enjoyed attending jazz shows at Sandy's, playing tennis and bridge with friends, going to plays at the North Shore Music Theatre, and the many other joys of living in New England.

Robbie's full online obituary and photos can be viewed on the website for Walkers Funeral Home in Hillsborough at: https://www.walkersfuneralservice.com/obituaries. The family plans to have a small ceremony in North Carolina on May 8th.
