Andover - Andover - Robert S. Pierce, age 35, of Andover, MA, passed away peacefully at home on November 3, 2023, following a period of declining health.
Bobby was born in Lawrence, MA and moved to Andover with his family at age 3. He attended Andover elementary schools and graduated from St. John's Preparatory School in Danvers, MA, where he took great delight in playing goalie for St. John's hockey teams all four years, including a run to the 2006 Division 1 State Championship game and team MVP. He attended Middlesex Community College with a degree in Criminal Justice and later the University of Massachusetts-Lowell. After college, Bobby had been employed in the corporate security and surveillance field.
Bobby was an avid car enthusiast. He enjoyed many years of tinkering with and maintaining a favorite BMW. He enjoyed travel with his family including trips to Formula One and Nascar races, hockey tournaments, many Disney World trips, touring California, and a memorable trip during which he skillfully drove his family all around Ireland in a right-hand drive car. Bobby also kept himself incredibly well informed on national politics and he was always more than happy to engage others in friendly debate and political discussions whenever possible. He had an immense sense of patriotism. His family relied upon him as a constant source of advice and good judgment in their own lives. He inherited the knack for worrying about his family from Nana Betty. Above all, his faith in God and his love and kindness for his family never wavered through hard times or easy times.
Bobby will be sadly missed and forever in the hearts of his loving parents, Denis & Kim Pierce of Andover, MA, and his loving sister, Meghan E. Pierce of York, ME, of whom Bobby was incredibly proud. Bobby is also survived by his maternal grandfather, Vito S. D'Anna of Londonderry, NH and many aunts and uncles including Julie Jaquish of Pomfret, CT, John and Kathy Pierce of Methuen, MA, Kathy and Dennis Shortelle of Harwich, MA, William and Jean Pierce of Methuen, MA, Michael & Nancy Pierce of Pelham, NH, Anthony and Diane D'Anna of Methuen, MA, Vito J. & Janet D'Anna of Londonderry, NH, Lisa and Kenny McNaughton of Goffstown, NH, Linda Houde of Rochester, NH, Mark D'Anna of Litchfield, NH, and Jonathan and Michelle D'Anna of Deerfield, NH, and many cousins including Laura Pierce who grew up closely with Bobby and Meg.
