Robert Bob Corning Obituary
Beverly - Robert (Bob) Eldridge Corning, 80 of Epping, NH passed away peacefully on Friday April 24, 2026 surrounded by the love of his family. Born on July 5, 1945 in Beverly MA to Lloyd and Evelyn (Eldridge) Corning.
He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother, and friend whose greatest joy in life was his family.
Nothing made him happier than spending time with his children and especially his grandchildren and great grandchildren, who were the light of his life. Bampy (as he was affectionately known by his grandchildren and great grandchildren), loved hosting family gatherings at his beloved cottage in Wakefield, NH sharing stories and laughter or simply enjoying quiet moments together where he created memories that will be cherished forever.
Known for his kind heart, steady presence, and unconditional love, Bampy was someone family and friends could always count on. He taught his kids and grandchildren the importance of loyalty, hard work, compassion, and putting family first.
Bampy took great pride in collecting and recycling cans so he could collect the money to give to the great grandchildren which he did in his final days.
His warmth, wisdom, and (only Bampy sense of humor) touched everyone who knew him.
Bob spent his life doing what he loved – driving the open roads as a dedicated truck driver for many years. He took pride in his work and was known for his strong work ethic, dependability and the countless miles he traveled to provide for his family. He ended his trucking career having retired from Bresnahan Horrigan, Ipswich, MA.
He is survived by his beloved wife Doreen (Lovering) Corning whom he married on May 18, 1964 and shared almost 62 years together; his children David Corning of Raymond, NH, Jeffrey (Sandi) Corning of Ipswich, MA, Kimberly Sullivan of Littleton, MA and Victoria Savino of Beverly MA; his grandchildren Krysta Collins of Sacramento CA, Shelby (Samuel) Mash of Dover, NH, Ashley Petroski of Hooksett, NH, Rachel Corning of Brighton, MA and Samuel Corning of Bradford, MA; his great grandchildren Lola, Bronson, Jadyn, Lily, Warrick and Olivia.
He also leaves behind his siblings Lillian (Danny) Chesley of Beverly, MA, Gary (Linda) Corning of Seabrook, NH; Wayne (Terry) Corning of Ipswich, MA along with many extended family members and dear friends who will miss him deeply.
He was preceded in death by his brothers Lloyd (Dolly) and Larry (Angel) and grandson TJ Maga.
Bob also leaves behind his beloved cat Jayco.
