Priscilla Begin Collette, 89, died June 7, 2016 in Candia, N.H., at her son and daughter-in-law's home. She was born August 13, 1926 in Salem, Mass., daughter of the late Wilfred and Marion (Treadwell) Begin.

Priscilla grew up in Salem, Mass. and graduated from Salem High School. She married Robert Saunders and was a homemaker until her children went to elementary school. After that time, for over 20 years, Priscilla was the head baker at the Masconomet Regional H.S. in Boxford. She lived in Topsfield for 20 years and Meredith, N.H. for nearly 40 years from 1979-2016.

She and her second husband, Claudio Collette owned and operated C&C Food Equipment Service in Meredith where Priscilla worked as the bookkeeper in the business. Her hobbies included baking, counted cross stitch, knitting and politics. She loved watching football and her favorite was the New England Patriots.

Mrs. Collette was a former member of the St. Peters Church in Salem, was a member of the Trinity Episcopal Church in Topsfield, and the Red Hatters in Meredith.

She was predeceased by her husband in 1988, and her brother, Donald Begin in 2005.

Priscilla is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Gregory and Victoria Saunders of Candia, N.H., and daughter, Pamela Saunders of Mesa, Ariz.

Grandchildren include Vanessa Tancrede of Candia, Julianna Felch of Fremont, N.H., Kathryn Saunders of Manchester, N.H., Christina Harvey of Buxton, Maine; great-grandchildren, Maddison Harvey and Emma Tancrede. Stepchildren include Marie Pierce, Doris Gates, Pauline Crawford, David Collette. Also, many step-grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.

There are no calling hours.

A memorial service will be held on Thursday, June 23, 2016 at 11 a.m. at the Trinity Episcopal Church, Topsfield. Burial will follow in the Trinity Memorial Garden.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to the Humane Society, in Stratham, N.H.
