Lynn MA - Peter J. Martinuk, 67, of Lynn, passed away on Tuesday, November 26, 2019, surrounded by his family at the Salem Hospital in Salem MA.
Born in Salem and raised in Middleton, Mr. Martinuk was a graduate of Masconomet Regional High School, Class of 1970. His career spanned decades as a dedicated mental health professional at Hogan Regional Center in Danvers, MA, before retiring in 2014.
Peter was full of life and joy. He was at his happiest when in the company of his loving family and his abundance of friends. Peter was a genuine, hardworking, and devoted family man. He also enjoyed the outdoors, in particular camping and being at the beach.
Peter is survived by his two daughters and one son-in-law, Loren and David McGrath, of Seabrook, NH, and Sharon Martinuk, of Lynn, MA; step-daughter, Lisa (Anderson) Dyer of North Reading, MA, and step-son, Russell Anderson of Lynn, MA; three brothers and sisters-in-law: Michael and Elsa Martinuk of Lynn, MA, Raymond and Rebecca Martinuk of Nashua, NH, and Thomas and Danielle Martinuk of Middleton, MA; his granddaughter Jessica McGrath; and many step-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Raymond and Olga (Sedlak) Martinuk, as well as his wife, Marilyn (Heckman) Martinuk.
Visiting hours will be held at the Conway Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 82 Lynn St., Peabody, MA, on Wednesday, December 11, 2019 from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Burial services will be held at Cedar Grove Cemetery, 100 Cedar Grove Ave., Peabody, MA on Thursday, December 12, 2019 at 10:00 a.m.

I have many fond memories of working with Peter and just chit-chanting when we could. It was always quite evident how much his family meant to him.
