Haverhill, formerly of Peabody - Peter J. DiStefano, 52, beloved husband of Michelle L. (Boudro) DiStefano, lost his battle with Glioblastoma on Friday, December 20, 2019, at the Kaplan Family Hospice House in Danvers surrounded by his family and closest friends.
Born in Boston, he was the son of Pamela A. (Ennis) DiStefano of Peabody, and the late Alfred J. DiStefano. Peter received his education in the Peabody school system and graduated from Peabody High School, class of 1985. He moved to Haverhill with his wife and children eighteen years ago where he has since resided.
Peter had been employed for the past 23 years as a materials manager for Columbia Construction in North Reading.
Peter had a great passion for music, inspired by his father, grandfather, uncle, and elder brother. For over 30 years, he played guitar and sang in his band, "Fortune," preforming throughout the Boston area. He was a loving husband, father, son, brother, uncle, friend, and inspiration who will be missed by all who knew him.
In addition to his wife, with whom he shared 19 years of marriage, he is survived by a daughter, Olivia DiStefano of Haverhill; a son, Jonathan Davie of Haverhill; a brother, Derek Distefano of Peabody; a niece, Christina Bender; and a great niece, Darrin Bender, both of Attleboro.
Visiting hours will take place at the Conway Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 82 Lynn St., Peabody, Thursday, December 26, from 4 to 8 p.m. His funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Adelaide's Church, 708 Lowell St., Peabody, on Friday, December 27, 2019, at 11 a.m. Relatives and friends are invited to attend.
