Paul J. “Bean” Ortins, 60, of Kingston died December 16, 2016, at Exeter Hospital.
Born in Salem, Massachusetts, the son of the late Arthur and Nancy (Liberty) Ortins, he was raised and educated in Peabody, attended Bishop Fenwick High School and graduated from Peabody Veterans’ Memorial High School.
Mr. Ortins was employed in retail food sales, last working at Shaw’s Supermarket in Epping.
Mr. Ortins was an avid fan of all Boston and New England sports teams, played club hockey as a young man and enjoyed collecting clown figurines and creating plywood shadows.
He will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his wife of thirty-six years, Susan K. (Geary) Ortins, a daughter, Heather J. Ortins and a son, Nick Ortins, all of Kingston; three brothers, Brad Ortins of Washington, D.C., Philip Ortins of Peabody and Robert Ortins of Waterville, Maine; a grandson, Sean Alefantis; and his devoted canine companion, Lola; also several aunts, uncles, nieces nephews and cousins.
Relatives and friends are invited to call today, Tuesday, December 20, 2016, from 5 to 7 p.m. at Brookside Chapel & Funeral Home, 116 Main St., Plaistow. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made to The Kimi Nichols Center, 17 East Road, Plaistow NH.
