Marblehead - Paul Richard Cutler, 72, a resident of Palm Beach Gardens, Florida, but forever a Marbleheader, passed away on Wednesday, July 22, with his unwavering wife of twenty-nine years, Susan Cutler, by his side. Paul was the son of the late Philip Cutler and Elsie.

A former Marblehead Magician on the basketball court and football field, Paul was most at home by water, whether at sea or by the pool, surrounded by family and close friends. He especially enjoyed playing volleyball in his sister's backyard and singing karaoke, which he first embraced during his business travels to Taiwan and the Philippines. Sue received many Frank Sinatra serenades throughout the years.

Paul was a loyal Boston sports fan with deep roots in Celtic Pride and Patriots Nation. He was also a lover of period films and musical theater, especially with female powerhouse vocalists like Barbra Streisand. Throughout his life, Paul lived many chapters —from athlete to business owner to teacher in his final years.

He is survived by his four children: Mal Silva and daughter-in-law Anna Silva, Alyssa Cutler, Caitlin Burhkhadt, and Jennifer Burkhardt. He is also survived by his sister, Judy Goodman and brother-in-law Dr. Robert Goodman, his niece, Jena Timson, her husband, Chris Timson, his grandniece, Skylar, and grandnephew, Lucas; as well as his niece, Leah Goodman and her husband, Christos Douroudis. Paul will be deeply missed and forever remembered. In lieu of a public service or flowers, in honor of Paul's devotion to the family dogs of past and present, the family asks that memorial donations be made to the ASPCA or a local animal rescue organization.
