Beverly - Paul C. Crandall, 82, passed away on February 1, 2026, at the Gosnell Hospice House in Scarborough, Maine.

Paul was born on June 13, 1943, in Beverly, MA to Arthur C. Crandall and Mary Musial. Paul attended Beverly High School, then went on to Beverly Co-op Trade School to train as a Machinist and later achieved a master's degree in Education.

Paul held many jobs throughout his life from Machinist to Director of Academy and Careers and Technology in South Carolina. Paul also served in the Coast Guard from 1963-1969. Paul was instrumental in raising five million dollars in equipment for Maines vocational/career high school. A few of his professional achievements were manufacturing camera housing for NASA which they used to photograph possible sights to land on the moon and teaching geometry in Russia.

Paul was a member of Rotary International, American Legion, Project Harmony in Maine, and South Carolina, and Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks. Paul enjoyed serving his communities. He was a volunteer firefighter for Marion, South Carolina, and Alna, Maine, as well as a 4H instructor in Lubec, Maine.

Paul also enjoyed numerous hobbies such as fishing, hunting, hiking, and caring for his dogs. He also enjoyed traveling and spending time with family and friends.

Paul was predeceased by his parents, and brothers Arthur Crandall and Richard Crandall.

Paul is survived by his son, Todd C. Crandall and wife, Ali of Beverly, MA; grandson, Alexander C. Crandall of Beverly, MA; sisters-in-law, Barbara Crandall of Beverly, MA and Diane Crandall of Littleton, Massachusetts, along with several cousins, nieces and nephews.
