Beverly - Patricia M. "Trish" Lavoie, 83, of Beverly, Massachusetts, passed away peacefully on Thursday, April 28, 2022, at the Kaplan Family Hospice House in Danvers surrounded by her family. She was the loving wife to the late Richard W. Lavoie with whom she shared many years of marriage.

Trish was a graduate of the class of 1956 from Lynn English High School and later from North Shore Community College where she excelled academically as a member of Phi Theta Kappa.

She enjoyed a long and rewarding career as a grants administrator at the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health in the Department of Child and Maternal Health. As a life-long learner she was energized by new ideas and loved engaging with faculty and supporting students in all facets of their lives.

Always an enthusiastic and engaged friend, family and community member throughout many facets of her life, Trish continuously developed extensive and loving family relationships and friendships through: Her children and grandchildren, her "pride and joy;" "Club," her nearly 70-year friendship with amazing women from LEHS; Wyoma Square, Lynn; brothers David and Den; The Boston Symphony Orchestra Association of Volunteers, where she served on the Executive Committee; LEHS '56 Reunion Committee; The Top of the Hill Gang, where she served on the Executive Board; The Essex County Needlecraft Guild; Dominos Club; St. Alphonsus Church and the Ryal Side neighborhood in Beverly, and many more.

Travel was a key enjoyment in Trish's later life where she enjoyed being a world traveler and took in sights and experiences including Martha's Vineyard, Alaska, and Tenants Harbor, Maine. She appreciated sites from all across Europe to the fjords in New Zealand to taking a hot air balloon ride over Uluru in Australia and many more.

Patricia is survived by her three children, Elizabeth Lavoie Hartnett and her husband Michael of Ashburn, VA, Thomas W. Lavoie and his wife Karen of Northborough, Carol Diane Lavoie Schuster and her husband Paul of Wenham; and brothers David Delorey and his wife Candy of Beverly, and Dennis Delorey and his wife Nancy of Burlington; grandchildren Catherine, William, and Mary Hartnett, Jennifer Thayer Gronowski, Emily and Jack Schuster; as well as many other beloved nephews, nieces, close relatives and friends.


Patricia's funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m, on Friday, May 6, 2022, at St. John the Evangelist Church in Beverly. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Burial will be at St. Mary's Cemetery in Salem. Visiting hours to be held at the Campbell Funeral Home, 525 Cabot Street, Beverly, Thursday, May 5, from 4 to 7 p.m. Contributions may be made in Patricia's name to either the Harvard T.H.
