Patricia Anne Conners Enos Baker, 82, beloved wife of Charles, died December 30, 2016, at her home in Nottingham, N.H., from injuries sustained in a house fire.
She was born Patricia Anne to loving parents, Robert and Anne Conners in Salem, Mass.
She was a curly haired doll and won a beauty contest at age two. Patsy loved to entertain her family and friends on the piano. She was one half of “The Two Pats” song and dance combo with her pal, Pat LeVasseur. They competed on the show Community Auditions and won! A talented artist, Patsy convinced her parents to let her attend Salem High School to study art. After graduation, she met Richard, married, moved to California and gave birth to her first daughter, Kathleen. Following his death, she returned to Salem where she was employed by New England Telephone.
Always an outgoing gal, she captured the eye of a handsome sailor from the south, Charles. They married and had two beautiful daughters, Susan and Charla. A skilled seamstress, Pat created many matching outfits for her three girls. After traveling the globe, they found their piece of heaven and settled in Nottingham, N.H. Many a cousin enjoyed summers on their gentlemans’ farm. Pat started a chuck wagon, “Pats Canteen,” that served lunches at the school before there was a cafeteria. Mom enjoyed vacations down south, sewing, crafting, hairpin-lace, was a creative 4H leader and made great “New Century” piccalilli! Patricia loved her husband of 58 years, Charles. She was loved and will be missed by her daughters and sons-in-law, Kathleen and Robert McDonald of Raymond, Susan and Michael Nickels of Deerfield and Charla and Eric Stone of Epping; grandchildren, Christopher and Brandy Nickels, Ashley and Jonathan Johnson, Aimee and Michael Hayes, Maura, Jonathan and Patrick McDonald and Rachel Stone; great-grandchildren, Blaine and Tyler Nickels, Lily Grondin, Jadeyn, Kamrien and Piper Johnson. She will be missed by her loving sister, Jane; brother, Bernard and his wife, Yvonne; many nieces, nephews and cousins by the dozens. Patricia will join her parents, sister, Nancy, brothers, Bobby and Jerry and loved ones who have gone before her.
The memorial service will be held on Saturday, January 14, 2017, at 6 p.m. at the Brewitt Funeral Home, Raymond, NH. Friends and family may also visit with the family for the hour prior to the service from 5 to 6 p.m. at the funeral home. A celebration of her life will be held in Salem, Mass., in the spring.
Burial will be in the NH State Veterans Cemetery, Boscawen, NH.
