Beverly - Norma A. (Landry) Theobald, 84 of Beverly, died on Wednesday, June 24, at the Ledgewood Rehabilitation and Skilled Nursing Center in Beverly. Born in Lynn on August 20, 1941, she was the daughter to the late Elmo and Adella (LeBlanc) Landry and beloved wife to the late Stephen Theobald.
Norma was a graduate of St. Jean's School in Lynn where she learned to speak French fluently. She was a passionate Boston Red Sox fan and had not missed seeing a game in years. Norma was always a gracious host and opened her home to family and friends where she loved to cook and entertain them. At Ledgewood, Norma found friendship, comfort, and plenty of laughter with her roommate, Lee Foster. Their special bond brought joy to her days and reflected the warmth, humor, and kindness that made Norma so loved by those around her. Norma was truly an angel on earth, and she will be deeply missed by many.
Norma is survived by her son, Brian C. Theobald of Peabody, her brother, Donald Landry, and her sisters, Sharon LeBlanc and Jeanette Dunn. She also leaves her sister-in-law, Lee Smith, and her nephews, Craig Smith and his wife, Stephanie, and Stephen Smith and his wife, Lori Ann, her life-long friend, Jane Chaplain as well as numerous nieces, nephews and extended family members.
In addition to her parents, she is predeceased by her son, Glenn Theobald.
Her funeral service will be at the Campbell Funeral Home, 525 Cabot Street, Beverly, on Tuesday, July 7th at 11am. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Visting hours will be Monday, July 6th from 4pm to 7pm. Burial at Puritan Lawn Memorial Park, Peabody. Information, directions, condolences at www.campbellfuneral.com.
