Nancy Anne Ledbury Obituary

Peabody - Nancy Anne Ledbury, 90, of Peabody, passed away unexpectedly at home on Sunday, January 11, 2026. She was the beloved wife of the late Kenneth H. Ledbury with whom she shared 62 years of marriage until his passing in 2018.

She was born in Rome, NY on August 22, 1935 and was the cherished daughter of the late Charles Emmett Muldoon and Evelyn Alice (Krumm) Muldoon.

After her parents passed early in life, Nancy took on the roll of caring for her younger brother before being enrolled in Boarding School. This was a place Nancy looked back on fondly. She participated in basketball, volleyball, numerous other activities, and created lasting memories with her friends and the nuns who looked after them. Once on her own, she worked several jobs, particularly as a secretary and nurse's aide, to support herself.

After getting married, Nancy moved to Massachusetts with Ken and they began their life in Peabody. Nancy was an active figure in her children's activities such as hockey and figure skating, a member of the Eastern Star, and a member of the Freemason's Past Masters group. She babysat neighborhood children for many years and enjoyed traveling with her family. Nancy was also an avid reader, loved solitaire and puzzles, and a large supporter of Boston Sports teams. She will miss her beloved dog Charlie, and her dear lifelong friend Pat Melanson.

Nancy is survived by her children, Debbie Cagnina and her husband Jack of Sebago, ME, Kenny Ledbury and his wife Sally of Ipswich, Dave Ledbury and his wife Laura of Salisbury and John Ledbury and his wife Leizel of Peabody; her step-daughter, Terri-Ann Thornton and her husband John of New Brunswick, Canada; her grandchildren, Sheana, John David, Taryn, John, Ashley, Marissa, Heather, Matthew, Nathaniel, David Jr., Justin and Jade; her great-grandchildren, Owen, Eian, Ava, Addison, Sadie, Jaxson, Bentley, Vivian, Tristan, and Charlotte; her sister-in-law, Gloria Ledbury of Marblehead; her niece and nephews, Rick, Karen, Allen and Steven; and many loving cousins and friends.

Sadly, in addition to her parents and husband, she is predeceased by her brother, Charles Muldoon and his wife Barbara; her brother-in-law, Richard Ledbury; and her niece and nephew, Colleen and Chuck.

Family and friends are cordially invited to attend visiting hours at the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 82 Lynn St, Peabody on Tuesday, January 20, 2026 from 4PM to 7PM.
