Michael Francis Surpitski, Jr. Obituary

Ipswich - Michael Francis Surpitski Jr.,76, of Ipswich MA. passed away peacefully at Hope Hospice, November 2,2025, in Cape Coral, Fl.

He leaves his loving wife of 40 yrs. Linda Surpitski, his Sister Eileen Surpitski Caram and the Late Richard Caram, also his brother Paul Surpitski and wife May Surpitski.

Michael's children are: Christine Surpitski, Katherine Surpitski and her husband Ryan Foster, Richard Merry and his wife Stacey Merry, Michael Mackin and his wife Maricel Mackin. Michael is also survived by his Grandchildren: Adrianna Merry, Joseph Mackin, Savannah Gomez, Joseph Discenzo and Mylah Discenzo, and many wonderful nieces and nephews.

Michael graduated from Ipswich High School Class of 1967. Then In 1968 Michael enlisted into the US Navy, he was an Aircraft Mechanic. He was awarded the National Defense Service Medal and the Vietnam Service Medal. His active service expired in 1972, then he was in National Reserves till 1974.

Then Michael came back to Ipswich to run the family's business Mike & Sons Oil for many years.

Michael loved boating. He had his first boat at 12 yrs. old and continued boating throughout his life off the beautiful shores of Ipswich. Later in life Michael & Linda enjoyed their cottage in Maine where here he enjoyed all his relatives and Friends visiting often and here is where many memories were made.

Later Michael and Linda retired to N. Ft. Myers. Fl. where they made their home.

Private graveside service with military honors will be held in the Cowles Memorial Cemetery in Ipswich. Assisting the Surpitski family is the Morris Funeral Home of Ipswich. To send a letter of condolence to Michael's family please go to: MorrisFH.com
