Haverhill - Marilyn A. (Chouinard) Belanger, 87, of Haverhill and formerly of Boxford, died Tuesday morning, June 16, at Hannah Duston Nursing Long Term Healthcare Center, Haverhill.

She was born in Providence, RI, November 15, 1932, daughter of the late Wilfred and Ora (Miller) Chouinard.

Educated in the Providence school system, Mrs. Belanger graduated from St. Xavier High School. She attended and earned her Bachelor of Science Nursing degree and Registered Nursing degree from Boston University School of Nursing and pursued her Masters degree in Nursing Administration at Boston College.

She was employed as an RN at Beth Israel Hospital and in the Emergency Department at Mass General. More recently she was employed for Whittier Health Network as the liaison nurse and as an Allergy and Immunology Nurse for New England Allergy.

An avid golfer, Mrs. Belanger was a member of Far Corner and New Meadows Golf Leagues and enjoyed reading, boating and sailing. Her favorite times however were spent with her children and grandchildren. Marilyn will be remembered for her happy upbeat can do attitude, her infectious laugh, her kindness, tremendous faith, quick wit and friendship.

She was the wife of the late Richard "Dick" Belanger who died in 2018 and her survivors include a daughter, Michele Belanger-Bove and her husband Jon of Haverhill, two sons, Greg Belanger and his significant other Sherry Volpone of Amesbury, Todd Belanger and his wife, Lili of Wells, Maine, a sister, Jean Palazzo of N. Kingstown, RI, six grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend her visitation on Monday June 22 from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. at the H.L. Farmer and Sons Bradford Funeral Home, 210 So. Main St., Bradford, followed by a Funeral Mass of Christian Burial at 12 p.m.in Sacred Heart's Church, Bradford.
