Peabody, MA - Marie C. Peters, 101, a resident of Wentworth Senior Living, died peacefully on January 11, 2019. Marie previously resided in Peabody, MA.
She was born on November 3, 1917 in Grafton, Nebraska, and was the daughter of Charles and Mary (Miller) Coleman.
Marie loved spending time with her family and playing card and tile games. She also enjoyed traveling in her motorhome and was a member of the Holiday Rambler RV Club. She was a member of the Hamilton Wenham Garden Club and volunteered at the Christ Church Thrift Shop in South Hamilton, MA.
She was predeceased by her husbands William A. Smith and John A. Peters.
She is survived by her three children, Barbara Battis and her husband Don, Donald Smith and his partner Jennifer Kean, and Bruce Smith and his husband George Chichmanian; five grandchildren, Emily Persing, Christopher Battis, William Smith, Rose Smith, and Amber Smith; three great grandchildren, Benjamin Persing, Maxwell Battis, and Claire Battis; three very special nieces Margie Smith, Georgia Smith and Mary Heany, and many more nieces and nephews.
A private burial will take place in North Beverly Cemetery, Beverly, MA. Friends and family are invited to remember and celebrate Marie's life on Tuesday, January 15th from 2 to 6 p.m. at Don and Barbara's home.
