GLOUCESTER - Marguerite D. "Marge" (Boivin) McManus passed away on March 13, 2018 at the age of 93 after a long struggle with Alzheimer's.

Marge grew up in Lynn with her mother, Irene (Mimi) Boivin and her sister

Irene. She was a loving wife to Edward McManus for 46 years before his passing 30 years ago. Marge

was the mother of five including Robert McManus (deceased) and is survived by one son, William McManus of Kingston, N.H.; and three daughters, Patricia Nordahl of Savannah, Ga., Maureen Carriker of Gloucester, Karen McManus of Dover, NH. She was loved by her five children, eight grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren and one great-great-granddaughter. Even up to the end,

Marge maintained her great personality and spunk that her family knew and loved.

She raised her family in Avon, and moved to Bermuda for a few years before they settled on Cape Cod until Ed's death. Marge lived in the Danvers area for many years up until she passed. Marge loved to travel. She and Ed went to many places over the years, including Ireland, Spain, all over the U.S. as well as cruising to the islands. She had many friends with whom she loved to play cards, bingo, shop or just enjoy each other's company over coffee.

She loved her family and friends and will be sadly missed by all whose lives she touched.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her funeral service at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, March 21, 2018 at the Nickerson-Bourne Funeral Home, 40 MacArthur Blvd., Bourne. Visitation 2 to 4 p.m. on Tuesday, March 20, 2018. Interment at the Massachusetts National Cemetery, Bourne.
