Beverly - Margaret F. "Peggy" Griffin, age 84, of Beverly, passed away peacefully on February 2, 2026, surrounded by her family.

Born and raised in Beverly, Peggy was a loving mother, devoted Nana, cherished sister, and loyal friend. She was the heart of her family, making everyone feel welcome, cared for, and deeply loved.

She was the beloved wife of the late John E. Griffin, with whom she shared more than 50 years of marriage. Together, they built a life filled with simple joys, loyalty, and countless cherished memories.

Peggy was a proud mother to Kathleen Griffin; Michael Griffin and his wife, Erin; James Griffin; Scott Griffin; Peter Griffin; Kelley Downes and her husband, Jim; Lisa Sciola and her husband, Domenick; and Erin Goodrow and her husband, Collin. She was a devoted Nana to Brendan, Kyle, Owen, Mairead, Liam, Griffin, Oliver, Penelope, and Grace. She cherished every moment spent with her children and grandchildren.

She was predeceased by her husband, John, and her daughter, Kathleen Griffin, whom she carried in her heart always.

For many years, Peggy selflessly fostered children through Catholic Charities, opening her home and her heart to those in need. Her love and care extended far beyond her immediate family, touching all who knew her.

Peggy loved to read, bake, and cook, and her kitchen was always a place where family gathered. Her spaghetti sauce, lasagna, chocolate cake, and whoopie pies were family favorites. She also enjoyed knitting, word search puzzles, and quiet time at home, happiest when surrounded by her loved ones.

She will be remembered for her steady presence, her kindness, and the way she made everyone feel welcome and loved. Her legacy lives on in the memories, traditions, and warmth she shared with her family.

Her funeral service will be at the Campbell Funeral Home, 525 Cabot Street, Beverly, on Friday, February 6th at 12pm. Relatives and friends are invited to attend.
