Beverly - Beverly - Lucille I. (Roy) O'Neil of Beverly, passed away on Thursday June 5th surrounded by her loving family at the age of 102. She was the wife of the late Robert F. O'Neil for 58 wonderful years.

Born in Fitchburg on September 12, 1922, she was the daughter of the late George E. and Alice (Pinard) Roy. During World War II she was employed as an operator for the New England Telephone & Telegraph Company in Newport, RI. A woman of great faith and strength, she was an active member of Saint Mary Star of the Sea Catholic Church in Beverly. She loved sewing, gardening, and cooking. She was an avid fan of all Boston professional sports teams, especially the Boston Celtics and was a season ticket holder during the glorious Larry Bird years. She found her greatest joy in family, in particular her three grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

She is survived by one daughter, Kathleen A. Rosenfield of Danvers; her two sons, Paul R. O'Neil and his wife Janet of Holliston; Stephen J. O'Neil of Hampton, NH; one sister, Edith Carey of Lunenberg; three grandchildren, Mark Rosenfield; Michael O'Neil and his wife Jessica; Shannon Dunn and her husband Mike; five great-grandchildren; Ryan, Tyler, & Avery O'Neil; Liam & Emma Dunn; as well as many beloved nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and her husband, she was predeceased by three brothers, Raymond Roy; Vernon Roy; Roland Roy; and by three sisters Rita (Roy) Crowley; Roberta (Roy) Madigan, Marion (Roy) Benson.

Lucille's funeral Mass will be celebrated at Saint Mary Star of the Sea Catholic Church, 253 Cabot Street, Beverly, on Thursday June 12th, at 12:00 p.m. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Visiting hours at the Campbell Funeral Home, 525 Cabot Street, Beverly, on Thursday June 12th , from 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Burial will be private.
