Lester Dean Charles, 95 of Rochester, N.H., died Friday, February 19, 2016 while on vacation visiting his daughter, Carol and her husband, Richard in Viera, Fla.

Lester and his late wife, Shirley, are survived by the couple’s six children, Carol A. Axelrod and her husband, Richard, of Viera, Fla., Christine E. Saunders of Danvers, Lee M. Murphy and her husband, Barry, of Farmington, N.H.; Lorraine C. Hill and her husband, Arthur, of Medical Lake, Wash., Joyce E-M. Geminder and her husband, David, of Gorham, N.H.; and Retired Lt. CDR Todd W. Charles and his wife Denise, of Aeia, HI. Lester was also the proud grandfather of 12 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Calling hours are Friday, June 24, 2016 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Peaslee Funeral Home, 24 Central Street, Farmington, N.H. Interment will be on Sunday, June 26, 2016 at 1 p.m. at Hamilton Cemetery in Hamilton, Mass., with military honors by the United States Navy.
