Kevin G. Gill Obituary

Beverly - Kevin G. Gill, 69, of Beverly and formerly of Peabody, passed away peacefully on Sunday, April 5, 2026, at Kaplan Family Hospice House in Danvers surrounded by his loving family. He was the beloved husband of Kathleen (Dominick) Gill.

Kevin was born in Lynn, MA, on December 16, 1956, and was the son of the late Robert J. and Rita A. (Moquin) Gill. He grew up in Peabody where he attended St. John the Baptist Grammar School and graduated from Peabody High School. After graduating high school, he joined the Massachusetts Army National Guard where he was named the Massachusetts Soldier of the Year. Upon completion of his military service, Kevin continued his education at North Shore Community College where he received a degree in business. It was at North Shore that he met Kathy, and they married in 1981.

Kevin worked for many years as a Postal Clerk for the United States Postal Service in Peabody where he became a supervisor before his retirement.

Kevin enjoyed all sports, especially baseball. He coached his son on many teams and also coached baseball at Peabody High School. He loved going to and hearing about his grandsons' games over the years.

Kevin was very proud of his Irish heritage. A longtime member of the AOH Division 11, he served as the former treasurer and member of the Board of Directors. He was chosen as the Irishman of the Year in 2007. Kevin was also a member of the Peabody Knights of Columbus and was active in their bowling league with his father. An avid golfer, Kevin notched his first hole in one at Salem Muni and worked at The Meadow at Peabody Golf Course since its inception. Later on, Kevin worked at Sun and Air Driving Range. When he wasn't on the golf course, he pursued the sport of shooting and was a member of Danvers Fish and Game, as well as the Andover Sportsman Club. A member of the National Rifle Association of America, where he was a trained firearms instructor.

Kevin was a man who loved the simple things in life. He loved relaxing on his deck and also dabbled in photography, taking stunning photos of sunrises. Above all else, family always came first. Kevin was a loving husband, a dedicated father, a proud grandfather, and a loyal brother. He was at his happiest when surrounded by family and friends. Kevin was loved by so many. He couldn't go anywhere in life without meeting or making friends along the way. His smile, jokes, and endless love will forever remain in our hearts.

In addition to his wife Kathy, Kevin is survived by his son Ryan Gill and his wife Kelli of Danvers; his daughter Krysten Sjogren and her husband Michael of Beverly; brothers Michael J. Gill and his wife Debbie of Clearwater, FL and Robert A. Gill of Peabody; his grandchildren Declan and Connor Gill and Caiden and Cora Sjogren; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
