Ipswich - Kathleen Louise (Griffin) Power was born December 10, 1952 . She passed away peacefully on June 1, 2026, after a lengthy battle with cancer.

She was raised in Danvers. MA and lived a life of love and devotion to her family. The proud mother of two, Kathleen shared 55 years of marriage with her beloved husband, Kevin Robert Power.

After moving to Hamilton, MA, Kathleen held a variety of jobs ranging from computer programming for banks to working in the airline industry. Kathleen started her airline career with Eastern Airlines as a reservation agent. After Eastern Airlines she started working for Northwest Airlines. Always up for a challenge, Kathleen decided she wanted to become a flight attendant. She attended training in Minnesota and went on to a career as a flight attendant for almost 30 years. She ended her airline career flying out of New York with Delta Airlines after a corporate merger.

Kathleen traveled the world for work and pleasure. One of her favorite trips was to Amersterdam, Netherlands and then on to Mumbai, India and back. Kathleen and Kevin took many trips to Europe and yearly vacations in Florida, but Kathleen most enjoyed her extensive travels throughout Ireland.

Kathleen's passions were her family, gardening, gourmet cooking and boating on Ipswich Bay.

She is survived by her loving husband and partner, Kevin of 55 years, her two children: Justin Power and his wife Shannon of Ipswich, MA and Matthew Power of Beverly, MA and his partner Julie Anne (Shea) DeJoy of Wenham, MA, grandchildren: Riley and Noah Power, Morgan and Kacy DeJoy. Sisters: Jude (Daniel) White, Robin Helling, William Griffin and Shawn (Deborah) Griffin. Brothers-in-law: David Power (Linda) and Neil Power. Sisters-in-law Maureen Power and Julie Power. Also many loving nieces and nephews. Kathleen was predeceased by her sister-in-law Deborah Power.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to: the Ipswich Humane Group P.O. Box 873 Ipswich, MA 01938. Visiting hours will be Saturday June 6th. from 2:00 to 4:00 P.M. in the Morris Funeral Home 45 North Main Street Ipswich, relatives and friends are respectfully invited.
