Marblehead - Katherine M. Beesley, age 73, a resident of Marblehead for the past 40 plus years, passed away on July 5, 2024 after a lengthy illness. Preceding her were her parents Peter Barsoum, Jr. and Rose (Shabo) Barsoum of Shrewsbury, MA.
Katherine was born in Worcester, grew up in Shrewsbury and graduated from Shrewsbury H.S. She matriculated to Mass. General Hospital School of Nursing, and furthered her education at Framingham State College and Salem State College.
Katherine began her nursing career at Mass. General, moved to Brookline Hospital, Union Hospital, American Home Care, and spent the past 20 years of her career at the Lafayette Nursing Home.
She leaves a daughter Sara Beesley Sherman, a granddaughter Rose Sherman, a brother James Barsoum and a sister Susan Grossman.
