South Hamilton - Karen West Campbell, 73, of South Hamilton, MA passed away on September 28, 2021 after a protracted battle with cancer. Karen was born in November 1947 to Dorothy (Nourse) West of Cromwell, CT and the late Robert F West. She has a younger brother, Lee West, married to Carol of Old Weathersfield, CT. After Karen graduated high school in 1965, she obtained a degree in medical technology at Hartwick College in New York. Karen met her husband Archie in college and they have two daughters, Jennifer Boutchie and Meredith Graham, married to Jonathan. Karen adored her three granddaughters Riley Boutchie, Rebecca Graham and Amelia Graham.

Karen retired from the Lahey Clinic after 42 years in the medical field. In retirement she expanded her hobbies of walking and traveling. Karen has been an active member of her local American Volkssport Association club acting as treasurer of the local Two Town Walking Club. Karen has traveled throughout Europe and the United States in her retirement including France, Spain, Ireland, Scotland, valleys of Danube and Rhine Rivers, Costa Rica, Puerto Rico, Virginia, Arizona and Maine.

A long-time member of the Order of the Eastern Star, Karen also enjoyed belonging to and traveling with the Daughters of the Nile.

Her funeral service will be held 11 am Tuesday, October 5 in the First Church in Wenham, 2 Arbor Street, Wenham. Family and friends wearing facial masks will be cordially welcomed. Visiting hours will be held 5 to 8 pm Monday October 4, in the Whittier-Porter Funeral Home, 6 High St. Ipswich.
