Hamilton - June C. Littlefield, 96, of South Hamilton, passed away peacefully on Thursday, February 5, 2026. She was the beloved wife of the late Richard Littlefield.
Born in Lynn, MA, she was the daughter of the late Lewis and Florence (Murray) Collyer.
June was a proud graduate of Lynn English High School, Class of 1947, where she served as a class officer and was a member of the National Honor Society. Following graduation, she began her career in the banking industry in her hometown of Lynn, where she was known for her kindness and professionalism. She was also a past Worthy Advisor of Lynn Assembly #6, Order of the Rainbow Girls, a Masonic related youth group, an experience she cherished and spoke of often.
In 1961, June and her husband moved to Hamilton, where they built a warm and welcoming home for their family. They became active members of the First United Methodist Church of Hamilton, and June later joined the Hamilton Historical Society, drawn by her love of local history and community connections. Above all, June found her greatest joy in caring for her home, preparing meals for family gatherings, and being a constant presence in the lives of her children and grandchildren. Watching them grow, pursue their interests, and take part in extracurricular activities brought her immeasurable pride.
June is survived by her two sons: Dr. Richard Littlefield and Tricia Quirk, of Salisbury, NH, and Bob Littlefield and his wife Deb of Hamilton, MA. She is also survived by six grandchildren: Hannah Littlefield of Brooklyn, NY; Samuel Littlefield and his wife Katie of Dunbarton, NH; Kelley Wedel and her husband Johannes of Watertown, MA; David Littlefield and his wife Taylor of Hamilton, MA; Paul Littlefield and his wife Hannah of Hamilton, MA; and Jimmy Littlefield of South Boston, MA. In addition, she leaves six great-grandchildren, Luke, Katie, Jake, Sophie, Gus, and Rosie—each of whom brought her delight and renewed joy in her later years.
Her visiting hours will be at the Campbell Funeral Home, 525 Cabot Street, Beverly, on Wednesday, February 11th, from 4 to 7 p.m. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Burial will be private. The family believes that all people can make a difference; in lieu of flowers, they urge everyone to vote. Information, directions, condolences at www.campbellfuneral.com.
