June G. Brockelbank Obituary

Ipswich - June G. Brockelbank, 93, of Ipswich, passed away peacefully on February 26, 2025 at the Masconomet Healthcare Center in Topsfield.

Born in Salem, she was the daughter of the late Edward Denault and Doris (Chase) Denault.

Preceding her in death was her loving husband Kenneth R (Bucky) Brockelbank. She is survived and will be dearly missed by her sons David of the British Virgin Islands and Ross of Ipswich. She also leaves a sister, Nancy Marshall of Beverly, and several nieces and nephews.

June and Bucky made Ipswich (his place of birth) their lifelong home to raise a family and established many lifelong friends in the neighborhood and community that they loved.

She was an active member of the United Methodist Church of Ipswich and its womens club, and enjoyed her participation in the numerous charitable and fundraising events over the years. She will always be remembered for her visits to the elderly in the church community.

She was very much a homemaker, each spring planting a wonderful vegetable garden and had a great passion for sewing, making clothes for friends and family. June was well known for her beautiful hand made colorfully decorated cookies baked at Christmas time that we all looked forward to.

Perhaps her favorite activity was exploring New England in search of antiques and collectibles. Hardly a weekend passed without a trip with Bucky to a flea market or other prospective treasure site. She was an avid researcher of what she found, eager to learn of its history and rarity. In recent years she and Bucky were vendors at the Todd Farm Flea Market.

Although she and Bucky were not keen to travel far, she would look forward to their summer camping vacations in New Hampshire and Maine to simply enjoy the great outdoors.

Many thanks go out to the kind and loving staff at Masconomet Healthcare Center for their support in her final years.
