Judith A. "Judi" Berry Obituary

Salem - Judith "Judi" Berry, 67, daughter, sister, aunt and mother to a beautiful and strong daughter passed away peacefully at home after a courageous 13-year battle with cancer, surrounded by the love and comfort of her family. Born in Salem, she was the daughter of Edward J. and Joan (Murphy) Berry.

Judi was raised and educated in Salem, a proud graduate of Salem High School, Class of 1978. She went on to graduate from North Shore Community College with her Associates degree. Professionally, Judi had a long career as a Legal Assistant at Nutter, McClennen, and Fish Law Firm in Boston.

Judi faced every challenge with remarkable strength, determination, and grace, never losing her fighting spirit. Quick-witted and full of humor, she had a gift for bringing smiles to those around her, even during life's most difficult moments. She always showed up in style, and you could tell she was coming from the tap of her heels and the clacking of her nails. Judi was a devoted believer in angels and found peace in knowing they watched over her. Her resilience, warmth, and unwavering courage will be remembered by all who knew and loved her.

Judi is predeceased by her father, Edward J. Berry.

Judi is survived by her beloved daughter, Angela Berry of Salem, her mother, Joan Berry, her sisters and brother, Susan Cann and her husband Donald, Edward Berry and his wife Dina, Jennifer Berry, and Anne Heutlinger and her husband Steven, her nieces and nephews, Lindsey, Maggie, Rebecca, Jacob, Adam, Olivia, Mitchell, and Jared, and her beloved dog, Penny Lane.

Judi's family would like to extend a grateful thank you to her care team at Mass General.

As this will be a celebration of Judi's life, we invite all to wear her favorite color, pink, to the services.
