Salem - John Joseph (Jack) Ywuc passed away after enjoying a long life and surrounded by his family. He was born to Joseph and Sophia (Mickiewicz) Ywuc and has always called Salem his home.
His passion and love of his life was his high school sweetheart and wife Sylvia (predeceased) with whom he was married for 65 years. He enjoyed traveling with his sweetheart, raising their children, admiring their grandchildren and spoiling their great grandchildren.
Jack worked for Delande Supply Company in Salem and Peabody for over 47 years and served in the US Army Missile Systems Division.
Jack is predeceased by his brother Joseph and wife Kathryn as well as his sister Jessie and husband Edmond Kence. Jack and Sylvia had 4 children. John A. Ywuc (predeceased); Denise Lawrence and her husband John of Middleton, MA, Michael and his wife Michelle of Newburyport, MA and Laurie-Ann Goldey and her husband Charles of Georgetown, MA. He was the loving grandfather of Cailin and husband Tom Hanrahan, Alyssa and wife Mary Gerard-Ywuc, Taylor and husband Steve Zanette, Christopher and wife Cheryl Lawrence and CJ Goldey and great grandfather of Henry, Declan, Sadie, Olivia and Benjamin.
His funeral mass will be held at St. Thomas the Apostle Church 1 Margin St. Peabody, MA on Saturday July 18, 2026 beginning at 10:00 AM. Burial will be at St. Mary's Cemetery, Salem, MA. Visiting hours will be held at the Murphy funeral home, 85 Federal Street, Salem MA on Friday July 17, 2026 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM.
