John R. Scott III Obituary
Hamilton - John R. Scott III, son of John R. Scott Jr. and Christine V. (Arnold) Scott passed away peacefully on July 2, 2026.
John attended HWR schools and was a 2008 graduate of SEEM Prep in Wakefield, MA. He was generally regarded as the Boston Bruins biggest fan, and loved going to the Thanksgiving football game, where he joined his tailgating buddies.
In addition to his parents, John is survived by his brother, Michael J.L Scott and his wife Molly C (Conway) of Rockland, ME; sister, Carolyn C. (Scott) Giugliano and her husband JP; niece, Alyssa D. Giugliano; and nephew, Grayson R. Giugliano, all of Hudson, MA; aunts and uncles Jean L. (Scott) Towne of Hamilton, MA, Marjorie A. (Scott) and Peter T. Gajeski of Wenham, MA, Joseph M. Jr. (Josh) and Teressa (Gove) Arnold of Gloucester, MA, Suzanne T. (Judd) Arnold of San Rafael, CA. John is also survived by dozens of cousins from coast to coast and around the world.
He was the nephew of the late Arthur J. Towne of Hamilton, MA and the late Jason J. Arnold of Gloucester, MA and Sebastopol, CA.
John was predeceased by his beloved cat, Sunset (1998-2015).
A memorial mass will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, July 11 at Saint Paul's Catholic Church, 50 Union Street, South Hamilton, MA 01982. Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend.
Donations can be made in John's memory to the Hamilton Police Relief Association, 265 Bay Road Hamilton, MA 01982 or to the Hamilton Fire Department Relief Association, 265 Bay Road, Hamilton, MA 01982. Donations can also be made to a cat shelter of one's choice. Thank you.
