Valrico - John P. Riley, Jr., 65 of Valrico, Florida passed away October 8, 2025 after a brief illness. Born in Salem on January 18, 1960 to the late Gloria LeClerc and John P. Riley, John was a graduate of Bishop Fenwick High School and obtained his bachelor's degree from Salem State College and received his certificate in computer networking from Clark University. Prior to relocating to the Tampa area, he was previously employed by GTE Sylvania, Arthur Murray Dance Studio, and NEC Technologies. He spent the last 28 years employed in the IT industry with the last 15 years as an IT Analyst with Coca Cola, Inc. and Coca Cola Bottling of Florida. John dearly loved his family and treasured his friendships. His joyful personality and infectious smile will be sorely missed by family, friends, and co-workers. He is survived by his loving wife of thirty one years, Jean Kennedy-Riley; his sisters Cheryl Riley-Jalbert and her husband Michael Jalbert of Salem, Lynda LeClerc of Salem, and Gloria Riley of Beverly; brother Michael Riley of Danvers; sister-in-law Beth Chase and her husband Gordon of Brandon, Fla.; nieces Kayla Riley of Beverly and Nyccole LeClerc of Salem; nephews Ryan Riley and his fiancée Lisa Martin of Danvers, Deven Jalbert of Salem, Christopher Chase and his partner Christopher Danek of Boston, Ma., and Jonathan Chase and his wife Marissa of Lithia, Fla. He was pre-deceased by his sister-in-law Pauline Riley of Danvers. He also leaves his fur babies, Zoey and Jack.
