WEST NEWBURY - John J. Dillon, beloved husband of Elizabeth Dillon, passed away on Monday, April 10, 2023, at the age of 93. Born in the Bronx, New York he was the loving son of the late James and Margaret (Lenihan) Dillon. John is the devoted father of John Dillon and his wife Linda, James Dillon and his wife Laura, Kevin Dillon and his wife Stacy, Stephen Dillon and his wife Vicky and Elizabeth's son Jason Gile. He is the loving brother of Richard Dillon, Helena McCarren, Maureen Bradly, Marguerite Michalas, and James Dillon. He is also survived by several loving grandchildren, Robert, Kevin, James, Sean, Matthew, Michael, Kelly, and Allison Dillon, Katlin (Dillon) Gray, and Thomas and Aric Booth. And beloved great-grandchildren, Lena, Colby, Claire, Sasha, Zachary, and Reagan Dillon, and Morgan and Theodore Gray. He will never be forgotten.

His funeral will be held 9 am, Friday, April 14 from the Whittier-Porter Funeral Home, 6 High Street, Ipswich followed by the celebration of a Funeral Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in Our Lady of Hope Church, 1 Pineswamp Road, Ipswich. Interment with Military Honors will be held in the Cowles Memorial Cemetery, Ipswich. Family and friends are respectfully welcomed.
