Peabody - Joan Zaidman, Entered Eternal Rest surrounded by her children on February 28, 2026.

She was the beloved daughter of Tillie (Ossoff) and Jack Rain, The devoted wife of the late Sidney Zaidman; beloved mother of Glenn & Veronica Zaidman, Kerry & Edward Berman, and Nancy & Paul Cowen; adored grandmother of Joshua Zaidman, Jonathan Berman, Jacqueline Berman & Jordan Glicksman, David Cowen & his partner Suzanne Geers, Gillian Cowen & Daniel Mercurio, Katherine Kugelman, Leanne Kugelman and Thomas Kugelman. She was the treasured great-grandmother of Ellery & Macy Zaidman, Tillie, Hazel, & Archer Warren, Zoe & Samy Glicksman, and Sydney Rain Mercurio.

Joan was born in Peabody, to the late Tillie and Jack Rain and was a Peabody girl through and through. She convinced Sidney to move to Peabody to raise their family.

Services will be held on Monday, March 2 at Temple Tiferet Shalom 489 Lowell St., Peabody at 1:30 PM. Shiva follows at Spinelli's of Lynnfield, Route 1 South, Lynnfield/Peabody line from 3:30-6:30 PM.
