Wenham - Wenham - Jeff McNamara of Wenham, beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend passed away peacefully on May 31st at the age of 81.

Born in Chelsea on March 26, 1944, to the late Lawrence A. and Dorothy (Coakley) McNamara. He was a graduate of Beverly High School and Boston College. For many years he was the Chief Financial Officer for Regional Waste Services. Later, he changed careers to join his beloved wife Peggy in the real estate industry and ended his career at J. Barrett & Company. He enjoyed many vacations with friends at Sunday River, Cape Cod, Martha's Vineyard, and for the past 20 years in Naples, FL. West Beach was his go-to spot in the summer, where he formed many great friendships.

He will be remembered for his quick wit, generous heart, and the deep love that he had for his family and friends. His presence brought joy to every gathering, and his stories, laughter, and wisdom will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.

He is survived by his devoted wife; Peggy McNamara, with whom he shared a lifetime of love, laughter, and partnership. He was a proud and loving father to his two sons, Tim McNamara and his wife Julie Sievenpiper of Benicia, CA; Andy McNamara and his wife Kristin MacGregor of Ipswich. He enjoyed the playfulness of being with his four grandchildren Aislyn, Teagan, Zoe, and Quinn McNamara, whether through his warmth, humor, or steady presence, he especially touched each of their lives. He is survived by his two brothers, Tim McNamara of Englewood, FL; Kevin McNamara and his wife Donna of Beverly; his two sisters, Karen McNamara of Temple, NH; Susan Bradford and her husband Wes of Peabody; as well as many special nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his two brothers, Richard McNamara; David McNamara; and his two sisters, Lauren McNamara; Ellen McNamara.

He will be deeply missed and forever remembered.

Jeff's funeral Mass will be celebrated at Saint Mary Star of the Sea Catholic Church 253 Cabot Street, Beverly, on Friday June 13th, at 11:00 a.m. Relatives and friends are invited to attend.
