James E. Gorman Obituary

Epping - James Edward Gorman, also fondly known as "Jim" or "Gooba", age-57, passed away October 14, 2022 at the Exeter Hospital after a period of failing health. He was born April 10, 1965 in Danvers, MA, son of Robert E. Gorman and Mary (Gourdeau) Gorman.

Jim grew up in Danvers, MA and was a graduate of Danvers High School, Class of 1983. He immediately enlisted into the United States Marine Corps serving his country proudly and honorably for four years and was discharged as Lance Corporal after serving overseas in the Philippines and in Europe. Jim worked for several years for Star Market in Beverly and Boston, MA stocking produce. He later did janitorial work for the Boxwood, MA and Naples, ME school districts. His last employment was with Heavy Construction Academy, Brentwood NH He was residing in Epping, NH, and was formerly of Sebago, ME and Danvers, MA.

As a child, Jim loved playing baseball and football. He was a member of the Danvers High School Football Team. In his recent years, Jim liked having big dogs, cutting wood, being a home body and going to his camp in northern Maine.

He is survived by his wife, Deborah J. Nihan-Gorman, mother, Mary Gorman, father, Robert Gorman, sister and brother-in-law, Cheryl and Joseph Denoncour, sister, Robin Gorman, brother, Adam Gorman, and several nieces and nephews.

There are no calling hours.

A celebration of his life will be held on Saturday, October 29, 2022 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the home of Cheryl Denoncour Blackstove Farm at 222 Blake Rd., Epping, NH. During this time,a time of remembrance will be held at In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his memory to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
