Middleton - Holly A. Smith, 79, of Middleton, passed away peacefully on June 20, 2026 surrounded by the love of her family and friends.

Born in Lynn, MA, Holly was the daughter of the late Hollis and Annette Wilt. She attended Lynn English High School and spent her life building cherished relationships and creating lasting memories with those fortunate enough to know her.

Holly was a well-loved, intelligent, and exuberant woman whose warmth and vibrant personality left a lasting impression on everyone she met. She was an incredible mother, wife, and friend, devoted above all else to her family. She was absolutely crazy about her husband, Sidney Smith, an accomplished man whom she adored, and she took immense pride in their children, Ryan and Wayne.

Together, Holly and Sid were known for their generosity and hospitality. Whether welcoming family and friends to enjoy their beautiful pool or hosting Holly's famous Christmas Eve celebrations, their home was always filled with laughter, love, and good company. Among those who shared many treasured memories with them were their best friends, Bobby and Pat Bozarjian.

Holly also loved to travel and especially treasured her fabulous five-star trips to Hawaii, where she relished the sunshine and enjoyed precious time with her family and dear friends Elaine and Geno. In her later years, she found great joy in shopping, socializing, playing bingo, spending time at her beloved Middleton Senior Center, and enjoying summer days at the YMCA pool.

She leaves behind many dear friends who will miss her greatly, especially Suzie, Gail, Jeannine, and Marie. She is also survived by her beloved nephew, Robbie Bozarjian and his family; her nephew, Jeff Wilt; Jeff's mother, Ginny; and her cherished cat, Gracie.

Holly was never one to suffer fools gladly, try as they may. She lived life on her own terms, with honesty, wit, and an unmistakable spirit. She was a truly lovely woman who touched countless lives through her kindness, friendship, and genuine nature.

Holly will be sorely missed by all who knew and loved her. She leaves behind a legacy of laughter, love, and unforgettable memories, and she will rest in peace knowing just how deeply she was loved.

Rather than a formal service, Holly requested that family and close friends gather for a private feast of lobster rolls and ice cream. She would undoubtedly agree that this is a far better way to celebrate a life well lived.
