Beverly - Henry F. Sullivan Jr., 69, of Beverly, passed away on Tuesday, January 14, 2020. Born in Beverly, Henry was the son of Henry F. Sullivan Sr. and the late Phyllis (Payne) Sullivan.
Henry had a love and passion for teaching. He was a History and English teacher at Beverly High School for over 20 years and was the Boston Globe and the Beverly Rotary Club's Teacher of the Year. He and his wife Colleen traveled extensively throughout their marriage. He was always looking for a new vacation spot. As a longtime member of the Wenham Golf Club, he loved playing golf, as well as racquetball at The Playoff Club.
Henry was a kind, loving, supportive, and wonderful husband. He was encouraging and inspirational to his students, teaching them to do the best they can. His nieces and nephews were treated as if they were his own children.
Henry is lovingly survived by his cherished wife, Colleen Sullivan; his sister, Mary Ellen Gallo, and her husband John of Bartlett, N.H.; brother, Peter Sullivan, and his wife Terry of Wolfeboro, N.H.; brothers-in-law, Louis McGrath, and his wife Wendy of Gloucester; Danny McGrath and his wife Kathy of Gloucester; and Dennis McGrath of Waltham. He is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, and cousins.

His memorial service will be held at the Campbell Funeral Home, 525 Cabot St., Beverly, on Friday, January 17, 2020, at 11 a.m. Visiting hours are on Thursday, January 16, 2020, from 4 to 7 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Henry's honor to the Henry F.
