Woburn - Helene M. (Sullivan) Schecowicz – a lifelong resident of Woburn, died peacefully, March 30, 2024, at the age of ninety-nine. Helene was the beloved wife of the late Stanley Schecowicz.

Born and raised in Woburn, Helene was a daughter of the late Thomas P. and Nora M. (O'Connor) Sullivan. She was a graduate of Woburn High School, class of 1941. She worked at Conrad & Chandler in Boston, Boston & Maine Railroad, and later retired from Unifirst after more than 20 years.

Helene spent 30 years in Boca Raton, Florida and at the age of ninety returned home to Woburn. This past October, over 100 family members and friends celebrated Helene's 99th birthday at the Woburn-Stoneham Elks. She was overwhelmed by the outpouring of love and good wishes,

Helene was a devout Catholic and a faithful member of St. Charles and St. Barbara's Parishes.

Family was everything for Helene. She was a very warm, loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She took so much pride in supporting and watching her children and grandchildren grow.

Helene will be deeply missed by her children Janet O'Connor, her husband the late John J., of Peabody, Joanne Huddleston, her husband Harry of East Bridgewater and Jayne Etheridge, her husband Jon of Woburn. Dear sister-in-law of Shirley Sullivan. Loving sister of the late Thomas P. Sullivan, Jr., Hazel M. and Daniel F. Friel, Sr. John J. and Marcia Sullivan, Jean A. and P. Joseph Lally, William F. Sullivan and Bereniece Sullivan, Miriam T. and James Treacy. Cherished grandmother of Brian Etheridge, of Woburn, Thomas Huddleston, his wife Jennifer of Wrentham, and great-grandmother of Shelby and Ty Huddleston. Helene is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews, great and grand, She was predeceased by her nephews, Daniel F. Friel, Jr. and John Friel, Michael P. and Thomas R. Lally and Kevin F. Sullivan.

A Funeral Mass will take place in St. Barbara's Church, 185 Cambridge Street, Woburn on Friday, April 5th., at 10 A.M. Interment in Woodbrook Cemetery, Woburn. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to calling hours on Thursday evening, April 4th from 4-7 p.m., in the Lynch-Cantillon Funeral Home, 263 Main Street, Woburn.
