Beverly - Beverly - It is with heavy hearts that we announce the sudden passing of Glenda G. Cantin, 71, a vibrant, fearless woman who lived life to the fullest and never let anything keep her down (not even a Bruins loss). Glenda was an avid sports fan, a bigger beach fan, and the biggest coffee fan there ever was. She was an expert putterer and a pro at "Glendaisms"."
With a determined attitude and a smile that could light up any room, Glenda, Nan, Nin, G, faced every challenge with her trademark humor—always ready to announce, "Well, this doesn't suck."
Glenda spent 44 wonderful years in Beverly, MA, hosting countless family members in her home (and their significant others) before recently moving to Epping, NH to enjoy her retirement with her daughter and family. She loved her new adventure, surrounded by family, laughter, morning trail cam views, and the simple joys of being with her grandkids.
Glenda leaves behind a large and loving family who will carry her memory in their hearts forever. She is survived by her son Craig Cantin and his wife Tiffany Cantin, and her "boys" Finn and Cylas Cantin, her daughter Caitlin and her husband, Guy DeFeo Jr. and her cherished grandkids Grace and Liam DeFeo.
She will be deeply missed by her sister, June and her husband, Bob Wentworth, her "little" brother Jay Gosselin and his wife Judy and her sister Rose Lawrence and husband Kevin. As well as extended family Gerald Cantin, Michael and BethAnn Cantin, Paul Cantin and Jen Reutter, Patty and Dave Santos, and Donna Cantin.
Glenda had a special relationship with each of her many nieces and nephews too: Meri Wentworth (husband Sean), TJ Lawrence (wife Lauren), Jameson Wentworth, Mariah Wentworth (husband Steve), Renee Gosselin (Chris Hagan), Alex Gosselin (wife Julia), Garret Santos (wife Melissa), Michael Cantin (Sabrina), Lindsey Cantin, Jessica Cantin, Brandi Trantham, and Travis Trantham.
Great nieces and nephews include: Frankie, Oaklynn, Jackson, Joshua, Zachary, Ethan, Caleb, Marleigh, Blake, Ezra and Michael
She also leaves behind a wide circle of cousins, dear friends, and colleagues who adored her and were endlessly inspired by her zest for life.
Though she left this world too soon, Glenda's strength, humor, and unwavering love will continue to shine through everyone whose lives she touched.
The family will honor her in the spring with a celebration of life that captures her incredible spirit, laughter, and love. Details will be shared at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, donations in her name can be made to Whittier Tech Ed Fund to honor her love of teaching or a local animal welfare charity of your choice.
