Geraldine M. "Gerry" Sharp Obituary

Peabody - Mrs. Geraldine M. "Gerry" (Michaud) Sharp, age 94, of Peabody, died on Wednesday, April 19, 2023, at Salem Hospital. She was the beloved wife of the late James E. Sharp, Jr. She met Jim at Burdett College and they were married on June 10, 1950.

Born in Salem, she was the daughter of the late Eudger "Mike" and Marie (Daigle) Michaud. Gerry graduated from Ste. Chretienne Academy, Salem, Class of 1947.

Gerry formerly worked for 15 years as a receptionist for the Travelers Insurance Company in Danvers.

She was a communicant of St. Thomas the Apostle Church in Salem and for 20 years volunteered at Salem Hospital.

She was the mother of James E. Sharp, III and his wife Christine of Beverly, and Charlene M. Stansbury and her husband Bill of Rockville, MD, the sister of Ronald Michaud of Lebanon, NH, the grandmother of Geoffrey Cox and his wife Devy, Jeremy Sharp and his wife Heather, and Janelle Sharp, the great-grandmother of Aubree, Jack, James, Jameson, Addison and Maverick, and leaves several nieces and nephews. She was also the sister of the late Dr. Gerard Michaud, Louis "Babe" Michaud, Dorothy B. Michaud, Gloria Perron, Theresa Gosselin, Marilyn Corbeil, and Norman Michaud, and was the sister-in-law of the late James and Jean Hosker.


Funeral services will be private with arrangements by the Cuffe-McGinn Funeral Home, 157 Maple Street, Lynn.
