Geraldine Eaton Obituary
Peabody - Geraldine (Noonan) Eaton 75, slipped the bonds of earth on Monday morning, May 4, 2026 after a twenty-five year battle with a neurological degenerative disease.
Gerry was married to Dave Eaton of Beverly with which they shared fifty-four years of marriage.
Gerry was the daughter of the late Richard and Mary (Mackle) Noonan of Peabody and Gloucester. She graduated from Peabody High School in 1970.
While raising her family, Gerry worked at Harbor Sweets in Salem as a chocolate maker. When younger, she liked to ski and for her entire life she loved to visit Good Harbor Beach in Gloucester and Disney World, her two favorite places to be. In fact, even while fighting the degenerative disease she took her family to Disney World one last time. While in a wheelchair she still insisted in climbing in and out onto the rides. She got a lot of joy from that but more so by seeing the look of the fear of death on her husband's face as he grabbed the safety bar.
One of her hobbies were baking and she was noted for her chocolate chip cookies which she supplied to the track teams at Beverly as well as selling them at Brooksby Farm.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by her daughter, Christine Sullivan and her husband, Rob and their three children, Emily, Chloe and Ray as well as her son, Andrew Eaton and his wife, Samantha and their son, Elliott. She was predeceased by her son, Michael Eaton.
Gerry also leaves her brother, Michael Noonan and his wife, Nora of Wells, ME, three sisters, Barbara Dugan Tessicini and her husband, Gene of Gloucester, Carol Noonan Flagg of Brownfield, ME and Katy Noonan and her companion, John of Fryberg, ME.
Visiting hours will be held at the Conway Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 82 Lynn St., Peabody, Monday, May 11, 2026 from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Her funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday morning at 11 a.m. Relatives and friends are invited to attend.
