Wenham - Gerald "Jerry" T. Donnellan, 86, of Wenham, passed away peacefully on Friday, March 14th.
Born in Somerville, he was the son of the late Anne (Pierscieniewicz) and Timothy Donnellan. Jerry is survived by his wife of 39 years, Gay Roland "My Bride"; his two daughters, Kym and Vicki and her partner Jeff; his two sons, Kevin and his partner Lisa and David and his wife Jennifer; 12 grandchildren, Mariah, Micayla and her husband Patrick, Timothy, Noah, Jack, Hannah, Owen, Madeline, Amelia, Isabelle, Charlotte and Audrey; great-grandchild, Callie Rose and two nieces, Amy and Katie and their families. He was predeceased by his brother, Brian and his sister-in-law, Peggy.
Jerry graduated from Matignon High School, Class of 1956, and then attended Northeastern University. He participated in their Cooperative Education Program, with a placement at the Massachusetts Department of Public Works. Upon graduation in 1964, with an Associate in Science Degree in Civil Engineering, he continued working for the Commonwealth for the next 45 years until he retired.
Jerry joined the Air Force Reserve and was called into active duty from 1962-1967. He served on the Manchester Board of Health from 1971-1987. Jerry was an active member of the Wenham Board of Health, being appointed in 2005 and subsequently elected from 2006-2024.
Graveside services will be private, and a Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Gerald's name to the Alzheimer's Association at www.ALZ.org. Condolences at www.campbellfuneral.com.
