George R. Normand Obituary

Danvers - George R. Normand, 95, died Tuesday morning, March 3, 2025. He was the husband of the late Jacqueline E. (Michaud) Normand, with whom he shared fifty-nine years of marriage.

Born in Salem on February 5, 1931, he was the son of the late Joseph and Mary (Levesque) Normand. He was raised and educated in Salem and served honorably in the US Army during the Korean War.

For many years, George worked for Gloucester Engineering. He enjoyed his time as a member of the American Legion and VFW.

He leaves a sister, Sister Lorraine Normand, SASV of Worcester, as well as several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brother, Laurent Normand and his wife Claire.

His Funeral Service will be held on Monday, March 9, 2026 at 11AM in C.R. Lyons & Sons Funeral Directors, 28 Elm St., Danvers Square. Burial will follow in Annunciation Cemetery. Relatives and friends are invited. Visitation will precede the service from 10:00-10:45am. In lieu of flowers, donations in George's memory may be made to the charity of one's choice.
