George P. Gallagher II Obituary
Beverly - George P. Gallagher II, 53, passed away unexpectedly on October 23, 2021, doing what he loved, hiking. George was born October 4, 1968, in Beverly, MA, and was a graduate of Beverly High School.
George was the loving husband to Cynthia Arathuzik Gallagher, and was a devoted father of daughters Bridget and Amanda. Nothing made him happier than spending time with his daughters, whether it be at Bridget's first toddler dance recital, or watching her cheerlead at high school football games and competitions, he was always there and his special bond with Amanda is immeasurable. His devotion will be forever felt by them.
He was the loving son of Jacqueline Gallagher and the late George P. Gallagher of Beverly, MA; brother to Rae Anne Gallagher and Jason Naves of Groveland and Patti Gallagher and Peter Green of Beverly; father and mother-in-law, John and Dorothy Arathuzik of Topsfield; sister and brother-in-law Tommy and Cathy Flynn of Wilmington, and John and Gillian Arathuzik of Topsfield. He was adored by his nieces Courtney, Molly, and Maggie; and nephews Sean and Connor, and they loved his amazing sense of humor and the memories made with them will be cherished forever.
In additional to above he is survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends he considered family.
He loved spending time with family—on vacations, family reunions, Red Sox Games, watching Sunday football games, Saturday night card games or at nieces and nephews sporting events.
George had a zest for life and was always up for an adventure. He recently developed a love for hiking and a quest to hike all 48 - 4000 footers of the White Mountains of New Hampshire—recently completing 31.
"I'm off to follow another trail and you know how I love to roam. But I know full well at the end of this trail I'll find my eternal home."
By Kirby Haskell
