Peabody - Frank J. Pellizzaro, 77, a lifelong resident of Peabody, passed away peacefully on Saturday January 3, 2026, at Brooksby Village, surrounded by his loving family. He was the beloved husband of the late Barbara (Turner) Pellizzaro, with whom he shared 48 years of marriage until her passing in 2018.
Frank was born in Salem on April 9, 1948, and was the cherished son of the late Frank and Angela (Pegoraro) Pellizzaro.
He was raised in Peabody and was a proud graduate of Peabody High School, Class of 1966. Following graduation, Frank proudly served his country as a member of the Massachusetts National Guard, Company A, Second Battalion. In his early years, he worked in Peabody's historic leather industry before beginning a long and successful career at General Electric in Lynn, where he worked as a computer analyst until his retirement. Never one to slow down, Frank went on to co-found Pellizzaro and Sons Landscaping with his sons, building a successful family-owned business that proudly served the North Shore.
Frank was deeply involved in his community and especially devoted to the Peabody/Lynn/Beverly Elks Lodge . Before Peabody Elks Lodge #1409 merged he served with pride as Exalted Ruler in 1995 and the role of Secretary/Treasurer for several years, that reflected his strong leadership, dedication, and commitment to service.
In his leisure time, Frank enjoyed spending time with friends at Foxwood he also loved bowling and walking the Browns Pond neighborhood where he lived and raised his family. An avid outdoorsman, Frank enjoyed hunting and fishing, finding peace and joy in nature, especially spending time on Pleasant Lake in Deerfield,NH. Above all else, Frank cherished his family. His love, loyalty, and devotion to them were the true center of his life.
Frank is survived by his two sons, Mike Pellizzaro and his wife Kristan of Peabody, and Mark Pellizzaro and his wife Melissa of Middleton; his four granddaughters, Hannah, Julia, Sarah, and Madison Pellizzaro; his brother, Richard Pellizzaro of Peabody; his uncle, Eugene Pellizzaro of Peabody; and many loving nieces, nephews, cousins, in-laws, and friends.
Sadly, in addition to his wife and parents, Frank was predeceased by his sister, Marcella Valliere.
Family and friends are cordially invited to attend visiting hours at the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 82 Lynn Street, Peabody, on Thursday January 15, 2026 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM, and again on Friday January 16,2026 morning at 9:00 AM, followed by a procession to St. John the Baptist Church, Peabody, for a Funeral Mass at 10:00 AM. Burial will follow at Cedar Grove Cemetery, Peabody.
